Year : 2010-11
Client : Archaeological Survey of India Dharwad Circle, Karnataka
About Project :
Chalukyan architecture is an outgrowth of the Dravidian style. The temples at Banashankari, can be described as structures being dealt in experimental stages. The material that has been widely used here is the sand stone. Most of the masonry works that were taken up had no binding materials, rather dry dressed stone work with massive stone blocks were preferred.
The ASI is engaged in restoration works of these monuments. M/s. Kshetra is involved in assisting the ASI for these works in areas of documentation, photography, compilation of project data and mapping the progress of works.
