Godavari Kalakshetra is a place dedicated to preserve the traditional values of arts in Performing, Visual and Applied forms of both East and West Godavari districts. Buildings like Kalakshetra gives the opportunity to bring back or to reflect the arts, the region once possessed to the future generation. They take the action of reviving the cultural heritage with an aim to deliver the awareness among the visitors about the traditional local Art. It also attracts new flow of people to the District and enhance the identities of culturally driven society. The proposal drives in searching new ways to impart local essence of the area, best possible functionality, form and expression, to anchor the project in the Urban landscape. The winning proposal is weaved as an amalgamator of Arts and historical traditions of Godavari into Architecture with style, technology and Smart features suitable for present and future decades to come. The Architecture is perceived in a way to symbolize the Spatial volumes and elements of Godavari with Arcade walkway, Semi-open seating area, soulful artistic interiors , facades wrapped with earthy essence of exposed bricks which is going to serve as the contextual solution in coherence with the surrounding nature and the built forms.
