Tirupati, a city entwining the multi layered traces like ‘Spiritual capital of Andhra Pradesh’, elected ‘Best Heritage City of India’ & ‘Smart City’ holds one of the Shilparamam, ‘a dwelling for work of art & craft’, which is the potential expression acquired as a sensational eye opener for the past two decades in our state of Andhra Pradesh. To rejuvenate and fulfill its essence better, our Government of Andhra Pradesh under the Ministry of Tourism through The Andhra Pradesh Shilparamam, initiated the Redevelopment of the existing site. For the same, M/s, Kshetra is assigned to propose the Master Plan. Hence the proposal is presented to Honorable Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and it got final approval and issued with the work order. In continuation, The Chief Executive Officer, The Andhra Pradesh Shilparamam has instructed M/s,Kshetra to prepare tender level drawings and Detailed Estimates for few of the components of Zone-1. With respect to the same, M/s,Kshetra submitted the tender level drawings and Detailed Estimates for the specified components.
Under the implementation of Master Plan for Shilparamam, the existing site which is located at a distance of 3km from heart of the city, is handled with an aim to interweave the cultural chain, with the economical chain to arrive at a self-sustaining loop to empower the artisan for ages and to serve as the most sensible Urban leisure space. The Redevelopment comprising of 25.39acres(1,02,764 Sq.m) segmented into 7 Zones as follows,
Zone-1
The movement of the Visitors is commenced through Zone-1 of 4.58 acres, which is dedicated entirely for Cultural & Economical activities of the artisans and to cultivate the awareness among Visitors , spatially translated into Art & Crafts village, Festival ground, Redeveloping the existing OAT, Toilet block, Entrance Plaza, Ticket counters, Viewing tower, Visitor’s center, Gazebos, Relocating and face lifting the existing Village Museum ,VIP lounge, Art installations and other Site development works related to landscaping, electrical, plumbing and sanitation.
